Today was my little princess' last day of FIRST GRADE! It blows my mind that I am not the proud Mommy of a SECOND GRADER! Her class party was this afternoon & it was a great time! The school Hannah attends is doing budget cuts & all of the newer teachers got pink slips...all of the teachers including Ms. Sanders, who is Hannah's current teacher, & Mrs. Kirkland, who was Hannah's Kindergarten teacher. This news hit all of us parents hard! It's so unfair that we are losing new, good teacher's! Teachers who aren't "burnt out" on teaching & enjoy their jobs! So, all of us parents put in money for a special surprise for Ms. Sanders! I worked really hard making this:
It's a flower pot with $210.00 in it! Ms. Sanders LOVED it! She cried, which made me & a couple of other moms cry too!
Such an emotional day all the way around! Like I said though, Hannah had a wonderful party! Here are a couple of pictures from the party:
